Five Things

stolen from another blog...

Five things you absolutely have to have, or need to have, or want to have...you get the picture. I copied my comment from Irene's blog here:

1- to come to terms with my grandma's death
2- to have the whole world know my name, but not my face
3- a place in the sun
4- someone who will hold my face in his hands when he kisses me
5- to not have the same relationship with my girls that I had/have with my mother

If I get all that, the other stuff will just fall into place...

*smooches...knowing that true happiness is never material*
-----------
maybe that's why I turned my back on science and became a starving artist? Nah...I'm just lazy...LOL

number 1 struck me hard - it took me awhile to get over my grandma (dad's mom) death in '85. Took like 5 years. I began to think different about death. How its promised to everyone who lives.

man- it's been almost eight years and I just can't let it go. She was my life and I didn't even know it until she died...

Is this where the hurt and pain resides? Is this why you are not close or that close to your other family. Although I am black, I am not afraid to pick up a book or a blog and read.

How else can you find out anything in this world, without reading.

Emails? Oh, somebody's not answering emails.

@don- I'm not close to many people on my father's family because they are crazy and rather toxic. On my mother's side, eh, we're just not the "best friend" type, but we're still kinda close.
