It wasn't the apple pie that spilled over in the oven and filled the kitchen with smoke and set off the fire alarm, or our dinner guests who missed their bus and couldn't join us for dinner, or our other guests showing up an hour early when we were still cooking and looking a hot mess.
The biggest challenge of the night, hands down, was trying to fit all the leftovers in Mami's already crowded refrigerator.
But we're ever so thankful that too much food is our main concern tonight, and that each and every one of the aforementioned challenges were solved via family teamwork.
Here's hoping your holiday was just as fulfilling.

I know exactly what you mean concerning putting leftovers away. Last night was a struggle for me as well. I eventually decided to throw a few things in the garbage in order to make room for the items that were to die for.
Your family looks beautiful. Continue to enjoy your Thanksgiving holidays.
I second Don's comment. You ladies are gorgeous! You're also apparently quite self sufficient as I would have been calling someone or throwing my two cats at the mice.
Spent my Thanksgiving helping my parents unpack in their new house and trying to stop the feud of "you hid my wine!" (mom) versus "you drank the last bottle already" (stepdad) as Mom pushed through creating two fabulous meals in two days. But, like you, if that's my main concern, I've got a pretty good life. Crazy family, but I love them.
