What Would You Like To Do If Money Were No Object?

I spoke briefly about this video and how it inspired me before speaking at career day at my high school over on my author site, but I wanted to share it with my Jaded folks, too.

While I am already living a pretty good life as a writer, there's still so much I'd like to do. If money were not a driving factor I'd still have a job, but not a full time one. I'd have more freedom to pursue a slew of creative endeavors that are currently on the back burner because I have somewhere to be from nine in the morning to five in the evening, Monday through Friday. As it stands, everything I want to accomplish has to move at a slower pace than I'd like, but maybe it's a good thing. Maybe it's teaching me patience. I mean, I got the tattoo, might as well try to embody it, no?

So how about it, folks- what about you? What would you do if money were no object?

Oddly enough, someone from OKCupid just asked me this same question. He wanted to know what I'd do if I had all the money in the world and had already done the "stereotypical" giving to charities, family, friends, etc.

I would open my bookstore, with the best paid accountants and employees (with great health care). I would staff it so all I had to do was spend my days lounging around my store, chatting up customers about the latest books or just sitting in a comfy chair reading.

I would also open my artist's compound, where all of my friends/family could live/work. It would be an outpost of buildings, complete with workshops and places to sell our wares to anyone who felt like stopping by to by art by local merchants.

I would start a bilingual elementary school. I would also create an empowerment camp for girls, that focused on fitness and overall wellness (specifically for girls that suffer from low self esteem or weight problems). In addition, I would spend my summers traveling the world and bringing light to issues of children worldwide through a photography project that I have always thought of executing. I guess I would also use the funds to be trained in photography.
